As England’s most wooded county, Surrey is crisscrossed by fantastic walking and cycling routes with spectacular views. All of our vineyards are found close to the North Downs Way National Trail that crosses the Surrey Hills from Farnham in the west all the way through to the Kent border in the east. To make the most of your Surrey Hills wine route adventure, why not consider exploring the beautiful English countryside and tourist attractions on our doorstep? Denbies Wine Estate, Ranmore Common, and Polesden Lacey circular

This 12.9-km circular trail starts and finishes at Denbies Wine Estate and passes the National Trust’s Polesden Lacey.

Taking in some of Surrey’s best views, this walk takes you up to the heights of Box Hill and through the vines at Denbies.

Chantry Woods are particular spectacular in bluebell season but the views from St Martha’s Hill and hospitality at Chilworth Manor Vineyard are famous all year long.

Cycling in Surrey

Cycling is permitted on most roads (highways), byways and bridleways in Surrey, as well as dedicated cycle tracks. You can find more information about cycling in Surrey here.

Only 40 minutes from Central London, the Just Pedal bike hire and demo centre is based at Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking - ideally located for road cycling, mountain biking, gravel riding, e-biking and leisure cycling in the Surrey Hills and beyond. Denbies has also recently installed Solar E-bike chargers on the estate.
